The new Premium Single Set Torque Anchor has been designed for applications where running a coil tubing string past the torque anchor is required. The Single Set Torque Anchor is the only torque anchor with the anchor block completely protected from damage or wear while running or tripping tubing. This feature allows for multiple runs without the need for repairs.
The unique design of the Single Set Torque Anchor incorporates a drag block that protects the anchor block until the torque anchor is ready to be set. Once set, the anchor block engages the casing and prevents the torque from the PC Pump to be applied to the tubing string. When unset, the anchoring block recedes back behind the drag block for the trip out the well.
Another feature benefit is that when set, the Single Set Torque Anchor’s housing protects the casing from damage caused by the vibrations induced by the pump to the torque anchor’s mandrel. The housing remains in stationary contact with the casing while the mandrel can freely move inside the housing. The design of the anchor block distributes the compressive load against the inside of the casing over a larger area thus reducing the mechanical stress at the point of contact.
The Single Set Torque Anchor is available for all casing sizes with a variety of connection sizes and types.
